Paul

I have been a keen photographer for as long as I can remember, and have been fortunate enough to have had a number of exhibitions of my work over the last twenty-five years. Of course this was all land-based work, long before I discovered the wonders of the underwater world.

Like many other people I did my first scuba dive whilst on holiday. On returning from Antigua I decided to do the training and become a PADI Open Water diver. I picked up the good old yellow pages and began to trawl through the adverts waiting for something to 'jump off the page'.

I phoned several dive shops before I tried Diving Leisure London, and as soon as I did I knew they were right for me. They are extremely friendly and are willing to spend 'as long as it takes' to ensure that the customer is happy, whether they are selling a full set of kit plus education, or simply a tiny clip.

In record time I had bought a full set of equipment, signed up for my initial open water training and a holiday in Sharm El Sheikh. When I returned from that holiday I was an Advanced Open Water diver, and completely hooked. It was then that I realised that I had to take a camera with me to capture a little of the magic I had seen.

Since then I have spent a lot of money on photographic equipment, done a lot more training, and diving, and I am currently a Master Scuba Diver.

One thing to remember if you are thinking of trying underwater photography, expensive equipment won't make a bad picture good.
